"Currently, one in four children in the UK is growing up in poverty. Despite average overall improvements in test scores, large differences in educational achievement according to socio-economic status persist, with family income and status by far the most significant indicator of success in the school system"
Jonathan Sharples, Robert Slavin and Bette Chambers (the Institute for Effective Education) and Caroline Sharp (National Foundation for Educational Research) join us on 6th November for an opportunity to:
- Hear about successful approaches to closing the achievement gap
- Visit a school that is producing excellent outcomes for all children
- Learn about the Children's University and it's unique approach to supporting better outcomes for learners
- Consider what research and evidence about approaches to narrowing the gap tells us.
