IEE Conference 2013: Getting evidence-based practices to work

Getting evidence-based practices to work

The desire to make better use of research evidence in both education practice and policy making is rising to the top of the political agenda across party divides. But how can it be done more effectively and reliably? This is the central theme of the second IEE conference, aimed at policy makers, practitioners, and consultants, on Thursday 21 March and Friday 22 March at the University of York.

This gathering of such research evidence is central to the challenge of raising standards for all children and, in the current financial climate, essential in making sure resources are spent in the most effective way. Keynote speakers for this conference include Baroness Estelle Morris, former Secretary of State for the Department for Education and Skills, and Lee Elliott Major, Director of Development and Policy at the Sutton Trust

Lunch and refreshments will be provided on both days and there will be a gala dinner at York’s medieval Merchant Taylors’ Hall on Thursday evening.See link for details.
